This is an extraordinary personal appeal, one which I do not make lightly.
St. Herman of Alaska Church in Langley, B.C., Canada (of which I have been pastor since 1987) is in the process of building a new church temple on our property, and are about half completed. Our church community has already raised thousands of dollars from within our membership to complete this project. We were under the impression from our banking institution that the promised loan would be coming through now, which would enable us to keep building and also give us time to raise more funds among ourselves. We have just been told that the promised loan will not be forthcoming until we have raised the extra funds in advance, totalling about $450,000. The sum needs to be raised by December 1, or our building plans may begin to collapse.
I am therefore reaching out to those who read this blog and value my ministry to ask for financial assistance for the parish which supports me. If you can do anything, please help us without delay. Any amount is needed and welcome. Income tax receipts will of course be issued to all donating. Donations can be made in the U.S. by writing [email protected] for instructions or here through Paypal by e-transfer at: [email protected].
Bless you for whatever help you can give!
