It's rare for publishers to put out a hardcover edition for something that was originally published in paperback. The first book in this series was first published in 2004, and has continued in print since then along with the whole series. A hardcover set like this is more durable than paperback, ideal for college or parish libraries where they can be used by multiple people; and a better value in the long run for clergy or students who may wish to keep a copy in their personal library for future consultation.
